This made me happy
I was shopping for a new pair of headphones today and came across this gem:

"The unique E.A.R. design channels music directly into the user's ears, creating a new kind of listening experience."

Directly into the user's ears, you say! By golly, that *is* revolutionary! I'm throwing my spleenphones away right now.

Dispatch from an Igloo
I hereby claim that this is the first ever livejournal post made from an igloo. Damn I'm cool. Cold, really, if we're going to be precise about it.

Hot!
I'm about to go to the prom! How cool is that? No, really?

Unlike the last time I did this, I don't have a date. However, my goal is to be more stylish than I was at 17. (At least one of the people reading this may have actually seen those pictures, but we won't be talking about that.) My current outfit is baby blue pants, mustard yellow shirt, greenish plaid jacket, and a tie yet to be determined. I will try to post pictures.

Woot.

Good lord, what have I done?
I am now the owner of a station wagon. Ladies, form a line.

My life is now complete
This morning I paid a visit to the one and only Vladimir Ilyich Lenin. He seemed kinda stiff, but I think he was happy to see me.

Oy vey!
Dear comrades -

I am sending this dispatch from Russia. Feel free to fold your arms, kick up your legs, and do that little dance in celebration of this remarkable fact.

Earlier today, I saw a poster for a "gangsta-jazz" band. (Now mind you, I'm not translating - they actually just spelled out "gangsta" using russian letters.) I will unfortunately not be here for that show.

Also, the LJ site is in russian for me right now, using some kind of whacky auto-detect magic. It's a bit disconcerting.

With love, (get it - ha ha!)

And in other news...
Mr. Amin, the [Iraqi] human rights minister, said "These people turned Iraq into a 'massgrave-istan' by the scale of their crimes."

Tomorrow, I will be sore
In an effort to get out of the house, dammit, I went on a bike ride today. A 25 mile bike ride. (For calibration purposes, that's probably more miles than I've put on my bike in the last year, no joke.) It was around these marshes and salt ponds by the DUMBarton bridge, and it was way cool. Yip.

I have cool photos from it, but you can't see them because I lost my camera cradle at burning man. Dumb bass.

double-u tee eff
Okay, so there's being an idiot, and then there's not knowing the general area of your body your heart is located in. What's up with that?

Maybe he wants handburgers.

No more job, baby!
I quit my soul-sucking job today. Yay.

(The astute among you may notice that my last LJ post was also about this job, only that time I was excited that it was starting, and now I'm excited it's ending.)

Whoa
My boss said I should think about getting an MBA. That was kinda creepy. I don't like thinking of myself as the kind of person who would have an MBA.

But then I went and checked out the UC Berkeley program. Which is supposedly really nice. Except that the application deadline is next monday, so I'm not going to be able to do it until Fall 2005, even if I want to. So there goes that concept.

It also costs $80,000, which is pretty ridiculous. Although Ofoto would have paid for some of that, I guess.
